What’s happening in the U-Pick Flower Patch August 2024

SUNFLOWERS

Soraya Sunflowers are late blooming, golden yellow flowers with dark centers. They almost look artificial! These have extraordinarily long stems too.

Lemonade Sunflowers are absolutely incredible! The flowers are bright yellow, large and fully double flowers. Many of the stems have more than one bloom too.

ZINNIAS

There are sooooo many colors in bloom now! Wine Red, Purple, Lilac, Salmon, Coral, White, Red, Orange, Yellow and more! We are thrilled to also have a few Floret originals like Alpenglow, Unicorn and Precious Metals.

Precious Metals – While they aren’t as big as other flowers, they slam it out of the park in color! Colors in this mix range from dusty rose, glowing orange, creamy gold and some all on the same flower. The color doesn’t stop there, look closely at the pistils and stamens in the center for lavender, pink, rose, cream and yellow! This is Adria’s favorite mix.

Alpenglow – while this blend is not bright like other colors, it has it’s own color character. In this blend you will find large double to fully double flowers in cream, soft peach, soft pink and dusty rose.

Unicorn – while this is supposed to be a blend, we ended up with all one color yet it is still fabulous! You will find large, double to fully double flowers in a lovely vivid hot pink that ages to light pink. Pick the older flowers for the most color variation.
